Job Details: Caveon is seeking experienced test administrators to assist with the monitoring of state assessments in Florida and Louisiana. This opportunity requires travel for one week to Florida or Louisiana sometime between April 23 and May 30. In addition to paying all monitors a competitive hourly wage, Caveon will reimburse all reasonable travel costs in accordance with its travel expense policy. This role would require you to work with a monitoring partner (assigned by Caveon) to visit schools while they are administering state assessments. The workday starts at about 6 AM and should not extend past 2 PM.

The role would require you to conduct a scripted interview of the School Test Coordinator, observe the distribution of secure test materials and then spend time in testing rooms monitoring active testing sessions, all in accordance with step-by-step protocols provided by Caveon. All monitoring observations are entered into Caveon’s proprietary cloud-based platform using an iPad provided by Caveon.

You would also be required to participate in a mandatory remote 4-hour online training session for this role, which will be conducted the week of April 10. You will be required to submit to a criminal background check prior to participating in training.

Compensation: 1099 independent contractor, competitive hourly rate.
Travel reimbursement will be paid for anyone traveling more than 45 miles one way in accordance with Caveon’s travel reimbursement policy.

Caveon Real-Time Assessment Administration Monitors must meet at least one of the following qualifications:

    • Certified Exam Security Professional™ (CESP-Generalist) with at least 2 years of experience in any aspect of assessment
    • Test center administrator or proctor with at least 2 years of experience administering high-stakes tests in a professional test center or college test center
    • Assessment professional with at least 3 years of experience in test administration
    • Current, former or retired educator, school counselor or school administrator with at least 3 years of experience administering standardized statewide assessments in a group setting
    • Current, former or retired educator, school counselor or school administrator with at least 3 years of experience administering either the ACT or the SAT
    • Retired federal law enforcement officer
    • Retired state law enforcement officer with at least 5 years’ experience conducting fraud investigations
    • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with at least 2 years of experience since becoming certified
    • Licensed (in any state) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least 2 years of external auditing experience
    • ASIS Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) with at least 2 years of experience since becoming certified
    • Third-Year law students
    • Licensed (in any state) attorney

    • Significant experience using tablet devices

Job Description: We are seeking meticulous and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Secret Shoppers for Professional Testing Programs either in an online testing environment or in Brick-and-Mortar Testing Centers. As a Secret Shopper, you will be responsible for evaluating the quality of service, compliance with protocols, and overall customer experience at various professional testing centers. Your insights will help ensure that these centers maintain high standards and provide an optimal testing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Complete all necessary training
    1. Once assigned, you will be required to review an online training specific to your assignment.
    2. Training will be required on an annual basis
  1. Conduct Secret Shops:
    1. Visit assigned professional testing centers as a testing candidate
    2. Follow a pre-determined script and scenario to simulate a genuine testing candidate experience.
  1. Evaluate Service Quality:
    1. Assess the friendliness, professionalism, and helpfulness of the staff.
    2. Observe and report on the cleanliness and organization of the testing center.
    3. Evaluate the efficiency of the check-in and check-out processes.
  1. Compliance Monitoring:
    1. Ensure that the testing center adheres to all required protocols and security measures.
    2. Verify that testing procedures are conducted accurately and fairly.
    3. Check for proper identification and verification processes.
  1. Detailed Reporting:
    1. Complete detailed reports on your findings using Caveon Core
    2. Submit reports within the designated timeframe.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED

*some assignments may require a college or advanced degree

  • Previous experience in customer service or quality assurance is a plus.
  • Previous experience in auditing a plus
  • High attention to detail and strong observational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to remain impartial and objective during secret shops.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Interest in traveling throughout the country and possibly abroad
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to visit multiple locations if required.

Work Environment:

  • This is a contract position that offers flexibility in scheduling.
  • You may be required to travel to various professional testing centers as assigned for in-person testing.
  • Some assignments may require adherence to specific dress codes or behavior guidelines to maintain the confidential nature of the role.

Compensation:

  • Competitive pay per completed assignment.
  • Reimbursement for any expenses incurred during the secret shop visits when assigned to a testing center more than 100 miles round trip (e.g., mileage, transportation, meals, lodging, testing fees).

Position: DevOps Engineer (Includes Sr)

Location: Remote work with some travel for training and team collaboration, travel to datacenters as required in Salt Lake City, Utah

Summary of Responsibility: The DevOps engineer wil work with the IT teams and development teams to oversee code releases of our software solutions, measure performance metrics to ensure that user expected performance goals are being met, deploying code, software, and firmware updates feature planning and resource technology planning, monthly audits and testing, end user support as needed, as well as aide in the implementation and maintenance of Caveon’s InfoSec and ISO 27001 programs.

Knowledge / Skills / Ability:

• Identify hardware and software problems and solutions
• Troubleshooting technical issues
• Translate development needs into scalable, secure infrastructure deployments.
• Ability to understand Python, Flask, Node.js, React, Vue.js, and Angular.js
• Ability to write SQL scripts to identify, troubleshoot, and correct data issues.
• Strong knowledge of deployment pipelines and the effective implementation of Jenkins
• Familiarity with Kubernetes environment setup, maintenance, and security, including associated management tools.
• Familiarity with automated penetration testing solutions and processes.
• Talking to technology users, and in some cases remoting into computers, and performing a series of actions to resolve problems
• Participate in daily meetings with the IT team and operate independently.
• Ability to understand multiple application technologies and provide troubleshooting and guidance to co-workers

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, information systems, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience working in a DevOps role or high-level system administration
• Knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems and kernels
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
