Marc J. Weinstein serves as Chief Privacy Officer of Caveon, LLC and Vice President of Caveon Audit and Response Solutions. As Chief Privacy officer, Marc oversees and implements Caveon’s privacy policies and practices to protect the privacy and security of confidential and sensitive client and stakeholder data and information, and ensure compliance with all applicable privacy laws and policies. Marc collaborates with other Caveon test security professionals to provide testing and assessment organizations with non-legal audit and response services to assist them in planning and managing responses to test security incidents that threaten the validity of test results.
Marc is an experienced professional investigator and trial attorney* who began his career in 1998 as a prosecutor in the Office of the State Attorney for Miami-Dade County, Florida, where he investigated and prosecuted thousands of criminal cases for the State of Florida.
Marc has also directed and participated in numerous extensive investigations to identify and hold accountable individuals who have cheated on secure tests and others who have aided and abetted cheating. In the course of conducting exam integrity investigations, Marc has interviewed hundreds of witnesses. Marc has broad experience conducting all aspects of exam integrity investigations throughout North America, across every sector of testing, including significant experience in high profile investigations in certification examinations, admissions tests and K-12 standardized assessments.
Marc is a sought after subject matter expert on legally sound investigative methods and has provided numerous investigation training workshops for industry organizations including the Association of Test Publishers, the Association of Inspectors General, the Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation as well as the Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
