[frame_left][/frame_left]SALT LAKE CITY, UT—Caveon Test Security announced today that its president, Dr. John Fremer, is the first-ever recipient of a new career-recognition award bestowed by the Association of Test Publishers (ATP). The award recognizes “Professional Contributions and Service to Testing,” and honors Fremer’s career-long commitment to advancing the assessment industry.
Wayne Camara, Chair of the ATP Board of Directors and Vice President of Research and Psychometrics at The College Board said, “John has made important and sustained professional contributions that include producing the firstCode of Fair Testing Practices in Education and working collaboratively with numerous professional associations on efforts that have increased the integrity and training of assessment professionals. I’m pleased to see John receive this distinguished award.”
“It’s an incredible honor to be the inaugural recipient of any award, but it’s particularly gratifying when it involves an organization like ATP that I respect so much and have been involved with for so long.” Fremer said. “While I’m certainly pleased, this honor is really a testament to the unflagging support I’ve received from colleagues, friends, and most importantly, my family throughout my career. I consider myself very fortunate to have pursued a career in a field where I’ve been able to work alongside so many fine individuals,” he added.
Additionally, Fremer has been elected to the ATP Board of Directors. David Foster, Caveon’s Chairman, explained, “These two events clearly recognize the leadership and innovation John has demonstrated within our industry for so many years. I’m pleased that he will now be in a position to elicit positive change for our industry as he has for Caveon since our inception.”
